5 Tips to Using LinkedIn Better

Here are some things you can do with your LinkedIn profile:

1. Put a professional looking had shot on you LinkedIn profile

2. Use your profile header on LinkedIn to make yourself standout more

Here’s the header to mine:

You can do something to make your profile’s header more effective.

3. Finish your profile. Particularly if you are a consultant, make sure you list many of the firms you consulted to over the past five years.

4. Write a description of what you did at your former employers’ with key words and search engine optimization in mind. The idea is to get yourself found.
