I want to start by offering you a question you can ask the next interview. He will help you get a clear picture of the work that is going to be done.
Now I have other
Podcasts and other videos you can watch and listen to that will offer good positive advice that you can use. Look for those videos on you to or on my website.
I want to give you a new one. I was reading something and it popped into my mind. So here’s the thing I wanted have you started asking: “What one thing really needs to get done?”
That’s going to give you a sense of the priority because it goes beyond simply asking, “So tell me about the job?” Notice the difference?
Tell me about the job?
What one thing really needs to get done?
I think it will recognize that one thing that really needs to get done is the critical thing. It’s the thing that you get measured against, review time once you’re on board. It’s the thing that’s the hot button for your hiring manager. The thing that you need to excel at. The thing that could turn you off.
It’s better that you know about it before you join instead of afterwards. If you wait until you are onboard for a few months to discover what the hot button is, you’ll wind up kicking yourself and thinking, “Oh man, if only I had known.”
