What Is It That You Do? | No BS Job Search Advice Radio

Ep 696 It has taken 696 episodes for me to spell out clearly what I do

I've been getting some emails and messages in recent times that basically translate into, "Can you help me find a job," or "What is it that you do? I'm kind of confused." This is the 1st show that I've ever done like this where I explained very clearly what it is I do professionally. That's because I am no longer a recruiter. I stop being a recruiter at the end of last year to move into coaching. As such, I do 3 forms--Executive job search, coaching, leadership coaching, and life coaching.

In the work that I do a job hunters, executive job search. Coaching is what I do with senior professionals, working one-on-one with you to try to help you find work. What I've learned over the course of my time helping executive job hunters is that they are just as lame, you folks are just as lame as your staff. You have better resources but you need some with the help you pull them together so that you don't make the sort of dumb mistakes that prove so costly.

If you are interested in executive job search coaching, send me an email at and in the subject line put the word "Coaching." My admin or I will get back to you so that will speak for an introductory 15 or 20 minute conversation and sort things through.

Next, I also mentioned that I'm the head coach of which is for non-executives. You see, I have created a ton of content over the years, over 2000 videos, almost a thousand podcasts between this show and Job Search Radio, I'm just coming up on almost a thousand shows between the 2 of them. I've written 8 books about job search and hiring. What I've done is curate the best of my information on the site in order to help you find work more quickly. Thus, if you are not an executive, join and, in addition to the curated information you can ask me questions through the site, I will get back to you and their discounts on coaching. If you want some time with me that way. Again, the site is

In addition, if coaching is not what you want, you want me to critique your resume, if you want me to critique your LinkedIn profile, or both, I'm happy to do that. But, again, is something that I charge for. You can order it critique at my main site, There is a tab on the top that you click that will allow you to schedule critique for me. You'll receive an audio from me that will explain the changes that I believe will need to be done to your resume, your LinkedIn profile, or both. Again, that is that

If you want me to is your questions about job hunting, if you want me to help you get you prepared for an interview, if you want me to help you with a salary negotiation, I'm happy to do that as well. Again, send me an email at The subject line, explain what it is that you want and go into some detail below in the body of the email and will schedule a time to speak because I love to help you that way as well.

So there are lots of different ways. I provide service to individuals, including all this great information that I create, this is episode 696 of "No BS Job Search Advice Radio" I can't believe I'm almost at the 700 mark and by the end of the year I will be close to 1000.

I hope you found this interesting and I hope I have a chance to work with you one-on-one and hope you have a great day.
