If anything, I tend to slightly under-sale myself. My fear is starting a new job and having my boss dump something on my desk that I am not qualified to handle. I’d rather be upfront on the resume and in the interview. I loved that SNL character.

I believe in being accurate, rather than overselling or underselling. Underselling means you miss opportunities you could have won. Overselling, I don’t have to explain How did your interview go?

I had two phone interviews today. “I think I did well” on both (insert thumb-jig)… LOL!!! Actually, I think I did okay on the first one, but not so hot on the second. The first one pays less, but I think I would enjoy it more. It’s a recep position at a tech company. I don’t think I did too well on the second. It’s an admin assistant gig at a big investment firm. Of course, that one pays a lot more than the recep position; but I don’t know if I want all of that stress. I’m hoping that I get called back on the recep position. I won’t be stressed by that job, so I won’t have an excuse to not work on my blog, which I’m hoping to make a modest income from. I will keep you posted. Thank you for asking. 🙂 Oh, I’m working with a recruiter on the recep position. I’m on my own with the admin position. When I called the recruiter to tell him how the phone-interview went, I said _”I think I did well!”_ Then I thought about you and almost started laughing. XD
